Sold items stay there forever. Delete the damn thing.
people post items for sale and they never reply back, post never expires or gets deleted.

Contact the moderator. It's shown at the top of each category.

For the people that put SOLD in the title of the ad after the sale, you would think the moderator would scroll through once every now and then and delete those without additional effort needed. I've been an admin on a forum. It would take like a minute or two to do that step. Maybe less.

Maybe not delete the SOLD items, rather create a folder called RECENTLY_SOLD and move them in there.

I think that ads should last for 90 days and then be automatically deleted.
There are people that join the forum just to list an item and they don't take the time to list them as sold and you never hear from them again. There are also those ads that list the item as also listed on ebay. If it sells on ebay, it is not listed as sold in the marketplace.
If the item is still available and the seller is still interested in selling, he would have to relist. This will ensure people looking to purchase that is still available. There would only be a window of 90 days for people to wonder if it is still available. This would also facilitate the searching for an item because less would pop up with the search.

In addition, ads without pictures should not be allowed.

Also there should be a "Sellers: Who is Who" section where partied involved in a transaction can leave feedback for one another.

It already exists. Scroll down the page. People don't take the time to update the item as sold. I don't think they will take the time to leave a feedback. Maybe some buyers would contribute.

Many millions of dollars' worth of Hummers and other items have been bought and sold on the Marketplace without anyone kicking back a dime. If there's $100 in donations in a year, it's a good year. Total donations for the first 10 months of 2019 total 30 bucks! That's it!

It's always been the honor system, but people are not honorable.

Some have been active on the Marketplace for many years without making even a small donation. There's never even been a "thank you" note. Never.

Many have benefitted greatly from the Marketplace. The Hummer Network, which provides it, does not.

So, now it's complaints and demands instead? Seriously?

PS - This does not belong in the H1 forum. It will be moved.

Why not make selling section $10 bucks per post.

My comments were not intended as complaints or demands but as sugestions to make it a better forum. I agree with you with the comment about people not being honorable. This is why I suggested a 90 day posting limit and that's it. If people take advantage of the marketplace, reward it.

It is based on forum software which is designed to allow users to post freely. There is no option to charge per-post. If it were possible, it would decrease activity.

Over these many years, everything has been considered.

Wow. Really? So belligerence is the answer here? If people volunteer to be a moderator on a forum, they at that same time are volunteering their time for free. And if instead of actually moderating they do nothing, then why did they volunteer?

No good deed goes unpunished. I feel for you Bob.

Thanks for all the time and effort you've put into the HML and Forum over the years. There's not a better resource in existence.

I am sure nobody will complain if you can find a way to charge them per post,
This forum is my family I am grateful it exists, I can confidently say without this firoum I would of never been able to learn, maintain and enjoy my Hummers,
please don’t take our comments as criticism it’s for to make this forum better.

To change your mood here is interesting story,
Friday I wanted to go explore some trails and camp overnight by mount Shasta, I had my 2 huskys with me, as soon as I let those thugs out of the truck they took off in husky fashion, I have GPS tracking on the male husky, within 3 hours they were 54 miles away, it unbelievable, and how they found there way back to my truck only god knows.

Have a wonderful Sunday guys.

Eric
