Is there a way to change the color that words that have been searched for, because at present any time I search for a string of words, they always come up white in the threads that they appear in, making it very difficult to read, especially in multiple query searches.

Is this solely a firefox issue, or are IE/Etc users noticing this as well?

Yes and no. That text color was established for the dark blue strips at the top of forum sections like the one above with the words "Author" and "Message". That text color also applies to keywords in search results. I've always puzzled over that. Why those two text colors are the same just makes no sense, but there's no way to change it. Believe me, I've tried. It is annoying.

BUT there is a way around it that's not too much trouble. When you click on a search result, you get a URL that looks like this:

Code:

Just delete everything past the topic number starting with the "&" and that will eliminate the white words. You'll get a URL that looks like this:

Code:

then hit "Enter".

Cant you just prevent it from highlighting the searched words when it returns the searches?

Only in the way I described above. It's really very easy. Just click and drag to highlight everything in the URL in the location window starting with the ampersand ("&"), hit "delete", then hit "enter" (or "return", whatever is on your keyboard).

I could provide screen shots if it would help, but it's very easy to do. Try it.

I have changed that font color. Since the color is the same for both purposes, I tried to find one that would work both ways. It's called "redorange". That should make highlighted search terms more readable while still being readable in the headings.

Thanks Bob. That's a great improvement.

Regards,
