Is anyone having trouble with the latest firefox browser. I cannot log in to the forums, it rejects the user name/password. It is fine with Internet explorer. I will try again right now so someone might be able to look at the logs to see what is going wrong.

What do you mean by "rejected"? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

Are you using the auto-login feature?

I'm using the latest version of Firefox for Mac with no problems whatsoever.

My only suggestion, without more information to work with, is to check your cookie settings.

OK, I fired up my PC, downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox, version 3.0.16, and went to the forum to log in. My username and password auto-completed just as it always has (I don't use the auto-login feature on the PC) and I was able to log in successfully on the first try.

I am unable to re-create this problem.

Make sure you are using the correct password, including capitalization. Passwords are case-sensitive. If you have used the "I forgot my password" option, a new password would have been e-mailed to you which would have replaced your previous password.

Otherwise, it must be something local, on your own computer and/or installation of Firefox. Again, check your cookie settings.

It is not a problem with the forum itself. There is nothing broken that needs to be fixed and nothing that can be adjusted on the forum's end to correct for this. You might try the support areas of the www.mozilla.com web site, which includes a user forum:

It's really a browser issue, not a forum issue. Still, it's one reason that this forum-related questions forum is provided, so people can see if a question has already been asked and answered. If only more people knew it existed. Laughing

Good to hear you solved it.

Thanks.
