Bob,
The forum has been EXTREMELY slow for the last few days, even to the point of timing out . I don't know if it just my location or not but it is sometimes unusable.

Thought you might need to know.

Also a suggestion on market place. A nice feature would be to alert users that there are new listings since you checked last time. Something on the forum page header would be nice (like the you have no messages icon).

It's been working very well for me. I haven't noticed any slowness at all, but I'll look into it. Thanks.

The forum and the Marketplace are entirely different pieces of software which work in different ways and are written in different programming languages. I'll look into a feature such as you suggest, but it would probably take an add-on or plug-in to be written in order to accomplish it. I've never seen such a feature in online classifieds.

I'm getting reports that it's running as fast as ever. We re-booted the server just in case. If that doesn't make a difference for you, it must be something on your end.

Thanks.

me too Bob - since Thursday or Friday - painfully slow to get topic discussions to load on the H1 forum but this just section popped up immediately.
Very weird.

We used some analysis tools today and everything looks fine. There is a little room for improvement, but nothing appears to be broken.

Mine was going slow as molasses too, I could load two other webpages while waiting on this one to go between posts.

Seems to be much faster now though.

Not complaining, just so the others don't think they are going crazy.

I had just checked with another regular forum user who says it's been "smooth sailing" for him. It's very weird that a few people would experience noticeable slowness and not others. If I can define and track down any kind of problem, I will. So far, though, I can't find any.

Thanks.

In case you missed the thread on the H1 forum, we couldn't find anything wrong so contacted the T-1 provider to look at things from their end. They took the T-1 line down for testing around midnight last night and it remained down until a short time ago. When it came back up, it seemed much faster and more responsive to me. The T-1 line may have been the problem all along. I'm still waiting to hear what they actually did.

If anyone still experiences slowness, please let me know.

Thanks.

Last week it was slow off and on for me also. Sometimes it would pop right up and other times it was slow. It did this to me at home and at work. (work is T1). Since it has come back up it all seems ok now!

I didn't notice anything the last time everyone said the forum was slow. But the forum is slow for me today. I'm on a college campus internet connection.

We did find something that was slowing it down and fixed it. It's been running as fast as I've ever seen it run since. Comments about slowness suddenly stopped completely. That's good.

I know what you meant. I meant that it's running great right now. It must be your connection.
