If the "Log me on automatically each visit" feature does not work properly for you, your web browser may be set to automatically delete cookies after each use. Mozilla Firefox, for example, has an option to keep cookies "until I close Firefox". This means that each time you close Firefox, that cookie gets deleted so the auto-login feature will not work the next time you open and use Firefox. This cookie needs to be retained by your browser in order for it to keep working for you.

To change this setting in Firefox, go to Tools/Options. Click on the "Privacy" icon at the top, then on the "Cookies" tab. You'll see a drop-down list next to "Keep Cookies:". If that is set to "until I close Firefox", just change it to "until they expire". Click OK and you're done.

There are other ways in which cookies can be lost or no longer in effect. If you are using a new or different computer, change to a different web browser or re-format your hard drive, the cookie you originally established when you selected auto-login will no longer be in effect. If you find you suddenly aren't automatically logged in anymore, try logging in with the "Log me on automatically..." box checked again to re-establish the cookie and see if you are logged in automatically again afterwards. If not, check your cookie settings in your browser for something similar to what is described above for Firefox.
