It is very easy to add attachments or photos to your posts. Photos and file attachments are done the same way.

In the message composition window, look under the large text box where you type your message and you will see a heading called "Add an Attachment". It looks like this:

1. Click on the "Browse" (or "Choose File") button and find the file or photo on your computer. Click "Open" and the file name will appear in the space to the left of the "Browse" button (the button may be called "Choose File", depending on what browser you're using).

2. Click on the "Add Attachment" button and wait for it to upload (depending on the size of the file, it might take a little while). The file name will appear in the place of the blank where it had previously appeared when it has uploaded.

3. Add a "File Comment" if you wish. This step is optional. The comment will appear in the attachment window if you use this option.

Repeat this process if you wish to include more than one attachment.

Note that attachments appear in reverse order. If you wish for them to appear in a particular order, upload the last one first. That is, if you want to attach files 1, 2, 3 and 4 and want them to appear in that order in your post, upload them in this order: 4, 3, 2,1.

Depending on the size of the attachment(s) and the speed of your internet connection, it may take a little while to upload. Be patient. It always takes longer to upload data than to download it.

If the file size of the attachment exceeds 10 MB, the server will not accept it. Reduce it in size if you can.

Preview your post to make sure it is as you want it to appear. When it is, Submit the post.

That's all there is to it. Very easy.

Note that thumbnails are automatically generated for large images. Click on the thumbnail for the full-size version. See the example below.

Also note that attachments are always placed at the end of a message or post. That's just the way the forum software was designed to work. They cannot be placed inline, that is, within the message.

As of IOS 9, it is now possible. Here's more:

If you still have an older operating system, you may not be able to post photos with it. Upgrade to IOS 9 or higher.
