You can change your e-mail address in your profile if you wish. You will have to enter your password in the process.
The forum software will automatically deactivate your account, which will have to be manually reactivated by forum management (the forum shows you a message telling you this). This process usually takes only a few minutes, but there might not be someone immediately available. In that case, it might take a while. Please be patient. Your account will be reactivated as soon as humanly possible.
The reason for this is that forum spamming is a HUGE problem. New account activation must be done by forum management in order to keep out spammers (if they could activate their own accounts, the forum would fill up with spam in no time). Unfortunately, the forum software does not distinguish between a new account and a changed account. That's why someone must manually reactivate your account if you change your e-mail address in your profile. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it's just another way spammers have ruined things for everyone else. Spam sucks.

It is important that your e-mail address of record on the forum is valid. If it is not, you will not receive important e-mails from the forum, including notifications of replies to threads you are watching, notifications of private messages and e-mails other users might send to you via the forum. |
