Is that just me or is everyone having the same problem. All other websites seem to load fine.

I got a note from the data center where the forum's server is leased about a problem this morning. The problem lasted about 2 hours, which would include the time you posted this message. It looks like it's been resolved.

Also, this forum software is getting old and can bog down on occasion. Code has been added to help it along when this happens, but there can be a little lag time. It will return to normal momentarily. Some possible vast improvements are in the works, but we have to thoroughly explore everything and have a well thought-out plan before committing to any drastic change. Stay tuned.

Bob, just a heads up (not a complaint) that page loads are taking between 30 seconds and three minutes for me this morning.
Also getting more "phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database" messages than usual.

My previous post obviously frightened it into working normally again!

All seems ok now.

There is a possible upgrade in the works. Upgrading and converting will be complicated, but should be done right. We have assembled a team with the necessary expertise, but they are busy people. It might take a while, but I'm hopeful it will happen. It would be a vast improvement.

The Marketplace is on the same server and works very well, even when this forum gets sluggish. That's the difference between the older software and the newer.

When this forum gets sluggish, it's only temporary. It will get better.

Just remember, if you submit a post and the next page doesn't generate right away, it does not mean your message has not posted.
