Wierd

Last night and today, I shot out a couple of posts using the e-mail via my Comcast WWW X-finity e-mail browser .... I think (not the HML Forum as I remember).......... they never showed up as an e-mail or on the forum.

I did use the Forum last night as well for the Brake caliper post with 4 images. It worked.

1) One was related to "Jonesen for my Hummer".
2) One was "Chasing down a very annoying rattle".

Is that the computer/provider that has been problematic in the past? It may be problematic again. I have seen a few of your posts come through the mailing list with no subject.

There is nothing I can do on this end. You might consider using the forum instead of the mailing list with that particular computer.

None of your posts have bounced. If they don't go out over the mailing list and they don't bounce, then they are not being processed by the mailing list software so they are not getting TO it. Either your ISP is not sending mail out to the list or it's being intercepted and/or blocked along the way.

Is your e-mail routed through any kind of spam-blocking service? Does it go through a firewall? Some ISPs take precautions with outgoing mail in case someone gets a spam-sending virus. It is not uncommon for mailing list posts to be mistaken for spam.

What posting address did you use? If you sent them to "list@humvee.net", try sending to "hml@hummernetworkforums.com" instead.

The list is actually working better than ever now.

I just shot out a post on the "erratic temperature thread". It came back to me on the e-mail list server but it is NOT present in the Forum as of this time.

How odd is that??

The one that I just posted came back was addressed to "list@Humvee.net"

All I did was reply back to an e-mail on the thread that I had already received.

Could the list server have the default "reply to" going to the wrong address?

The "list@humvee.net" is set to auto-forward to the actual posting address which is:

hml@hummernetworkforums.com

I did have that set as the reply-to address, but somewhere in the final tweaking of the new installation of the mailing list software it got changed back. I've changed it back again just now and it's working.

I did test the "list@..." address and it worked, but it's better not to take that extra step in the process if it's a problem for you.

You did not answer my question about whether or not this is when you use that computer/provider that has been problematic in the past. You seem to have some kind of unique situation with that one, but use another that has no problems. If that's the case, my only suggestion would be to use the forum instead of the mailing list whenever you use that particular computer.

I really can't examine things on your end. There is nothing broken on this end and there's nothing wrong with the mailing list. I cannot offer an explanation or do anything on this end to resolve it. I wish I had a magic button I could push and make things work better for you, but I don't. Like I said, the list is working better than ever now.

My home computer sent last nights e-mail but I used the hospital's computer for the one that didn't go through this afternoon.

I just saw a mailing list post from you with the subject:

HML: Re: Re: New to the H1......is this a pmd issue?

It posted to the list and the forum.

Any e-mail sent to the list which does not post and does not bounce is not getting TO the list. Something somewhere is preventing it from being delivered to the list. Whatever that might be, it's completely beyond my control.
