Getting the same 'Debug etc.' (not the phpBB Critical Error) message as Gadget when trying to access the forum.
However, by using 'Search' with today's date I was able to bring the forum up, select and read the messages that were marked as unread, and I was even able to post.

Does the search run on a separate server with a duplicate of the forum on it?

Gulf1,

You must have a second PC attached to your arm for posting and reading the forum, you never miss a beat!!!

I have been using a similar work around all morning.. Smile

I wondered how you were able to post. Wink
It makes sense that the Mailing List posts get through, but at the moment it looks like it's only you and I are accessing the Forum itself.
Of course that may change if anyone figures out how to access this thread. Very Happy

This is a strange one. Something like this happened once before, the result of someone posting something that the forum software took as program code. I'll see if I can hunt it down.

No, the search function is not on a separate server. By looking only at posts from today's date, you must be getting past the post that's causing the problem. That's a clue.

It seems that there are just a few others that are accessing the forum and posting without any issue, or at least they're not mentioning it.

Bob,
I hope it wasn't me..
I copied then pasted a topic in the off topic section, preview it, submitted it, then looked at it again, then proceeded to the H1 forum, now I get this error message in the H1 section only.
I went back and deleted my post in the off topic section.

If my suspicions are correct, it would have to be something that was posted on the H1 forum. Something posted to Off-Topic or any other forum would not have this affect only on the H1 forum.

I've looked at every post made before this was first reported and have found nothing out of the ordinary. When something like this happened before, it only affected the last page of one thread. The rest of the H1 forum was fine. I might be on the wrong track here. The error message is non-specific and doesn't really tell me anything that helps. Everything was fine when I turned in last night, and it was like this when I first turned on my computer this morning.

I will have to try to enlist some help with this. The guy who helps out with technical stuff that's over my head is tied up with work right now. He'll look at it later today. I'll see what I can do in the meantime.

The problem turned out to be the server ran out of disc space! I've upgraded the server to double the amount of disc space, and increased the RAM while I was at it, so it should be fine now.
