You can unsubscribe from a group by going to Usergroups. Under "Group Membership Details", find that group in the drop-down list, then click on the "View Information" button. There will be an "Unsubscribe" button.

Once you unsubscribe from a group, the associated forum will no longer be visible to you.

You may join as many groups as you wish, unsubscribe from any at any time, or re-join any later.
