So when I edit my post does it go out over the mailing list again,
or just change on the page? THANKS

No, the edited version does not go out over the mailing list. It can. It's a configurable option. I had it turned on for a while, but mailing list users found it annoyingly repetitive. Almost all edits were minor in nature, such as correcting a spelling error, so the same basic messages kept going out over the mailing list over and over. I turned it off by popular demand.

If you have something substantive to add or correct in a post, I would suggest you do so with a reply. Replies do go out over the mailing list.

Bob how do I edit a post I made so that it removes it completely? Is it possible? there is the "edit" button which says edit/delete but I cant seem to fully remove the post..just the text in it

You can simply delete it if you wish. There are two ways to do it:

    There's a little box with an X in the upper right of the message next to the Edit button. You can only delete your own posts, so that box will only appear on your own messages.

    In Edit mode, there's an option to delete the message. It's under "Options".

PS - Sorry I didn't see this question sooner. I have it set up to send me these questions via e-mail when they're posted, but I don't remember seeing this one.
